Recreation Ground

Wilsden “Rec” was donated to the people of Wilsden in 1928 by Maud Briggs as playing fields for the residents of Wilsden in perpetuity. The site does not lend itself to use for organised sports such as football because of the slope on the site.

This is used mainly as a public open space. The area by walkers, especially those with dogs and is used for events such as Play in the Park. There are good views of both the village and the surrounding countryside.
