Funding obtained for Wilsden Play Area
In the last few days the Parish Council has been told that the
application for funding to refurbish the children’s Play Area on
Townfield has been successful. The Council has been awarded just over
£32,500 from the Playbuilder programme funded, by the Department for
Children, Schools and Families. This, coupled with the money already
available from a grant of £4,000 from the Parish Council along with
contributions from developers who have received planning permission for schemes that involve the building of more than 10 houses, means that funds are now available to start work.
