New Community Contact Point at Wilsden Village Hall

The Parish Council is working with Bradford Council and the Police to open a Police and Community Contact Point at Wilsden Village Hall. Work has started on refurbishing the former reading room on the lower floor of the Village Hall. Bradford Council have provided a grant to cover the capital costs of this work and the Parish Council has agreed to cover the cost of operation for at least four years. This Contact Point will be manned by volunteers and the Police will be present regularly. This will allow people to report anti-social behaviour and low level crime and to meet with the Police. The Contact Point will also be the centre of the new volunteer car scheme that the Parish Coincil is setting up and we are talking to other organisations who are interested in delivering better services to the people of Wilsden.
