Wilsden wallers in the Dalesman

The September 2011 edition of the Dalesman featured an article about the work of the Wilsden Wallers, including pictures of two parish councillors, Tony Caunt and Jane Callaghan. This article places the valuable work of these volunteers in the wider context of protecting our Pennine heritage. When the Parish Council carried out a survey of the residents of the village are part of generating our Parish Plan 68% of residents said drystone walls were a very important part of the countryside around Wilsden and 95% of people said they should be protected.
