Wall Building Group

This is a group of volunteers who want to preserve and enhance a key part of our rural heritage the dry stone walls that were the traditional field boundaries in this part of Yorkshire.  The aim of the group is to re-build dry stone walls in and around Wilsden and Harecroft. These dry stone walls, which have over time fallen into disrepair or been damaged, are important part of the traditional landscape character.  Their repair will improve the overall aesthetic character of the village. To ensure the general appearance so that local people can be proud of their village and visitors who come to Wilsden can appreciate the general ambience, cleanliness and a village free from vandalism.  If you are interested in more details please call Tony Caunt on 01535 273709.
